the plot
The time is 1256 A.D., and the place is the small,
yet prosperous kingdom of Auria, situated between
the United Kingdom and Ireland. The kingdom is
ruled by the Mourson family, and while the king is
a harsh and cruel ruler, he keeps everything
(and everybody) in check. His castle lies on the
outskirts of Auria, away from the bustling capitol city,
away from all the mayhem and madness that a trading
port so generously offers. The castle is filled to the
brim with slaves, servants, nobility, royalty, and
occasionally even peasants from the nearby village.
The king is at peace with himself there, ruling his country
with an iron fist, but managing to keep everybody happy.
Peasants frequent the castle, and even slaves are
allowed to visit the village under special circumstances.
However, the king does not realize what is going on
under his own rooftop: frequent chattering between
nobility and servants, sweet nothings whispered
behind his doorstep, and maybe, just maybe,
forbidden romances; some are meant to last, while
others aren't so lucky. But, you must remember
that this is a castle, after all, and there are certain rules
to be followed, alliances to be made, and perhaps
flames to be rekindled. But one thing is certain, darling:
this is Ruling You, and somebody will be ruling
you, my dear, so be warned. Some things
may not be as they seem.
