The main reason the Haunted Mansion hasn't been torn down is because it is located on the same lot as the Pythian Cemetery. Tearing down the house to build a new one might disturb those resting, and who wants to live with a cemetery in their backyard.

This old house sits on top of the hill, overlooking downtown Main Street. Once owned by the wealthiest family in Pythian, until tragedy struck the home. After the husband murdered his wife and them hung himself, the house has been empty ever since. Rumor has it that grim grinning ghosts haunt this place. Only the bravest souls would dare to enter this building.
